Steady Improvement

Erik is getting a little better everyday.  He was sidelined by some semi anticipated yet annoying side effects but seems to be improving now.

Today is the first day he was really "up"

…. aside from Thanksgiving when I made him get dressed and stand up for a family picture and then it took him two days to recover from that little adventure…

and he decided to do what?  Look at the check book.  I'll tell you what if you are pretty much out of commission for three weeks there is no need to psycho analyze my receipts or check book register usage.  Yes rounding up or down is fine.  Yes combining multiple transactions into one and calling it "things Amy needed" is fine.  And yes everything I needed is completely freaking fine.

He is officially done with the good pain meds.  I called for a refill because I felt I needed them to keep knocking him out and they told me he can just have Tylenol.  I get it, drug seeking addicts resulting from transplants and all, but since I am the one playing nurse maid I believe I should have a say in his level of consciousness.  Whatever.  Tylenol it is.

Erik has his first follow up clinic visit on Thursday and intends to ask for a return to work release for at least part time.  Now normally this would be absurd, and still probably is, but he works from home and is getting sort of bored.  He claims there is only so much Netflix one can watch.  I don't fully agree but I hope they give it to him so he can focus on work issues and start blissfully ignoring my issues again.
