A physical.
The one thing he needs. He really asks for nothing else and has become rather self sufficient. He is one of those kids who uses phrases like "financially irresponsible" and analyzes the conspiracy of sales ("the sale price is really just a regular price but you get all excited and lured in by the word sale") and refers to things that aren't life sustaining as CYDN (crap you don't need) and has to be forced to get new clothes on occasion. My apologies to his future partner. I tried.
He needs a physical to start wrestling practice. It has already started. So far no one has excluded him from the conditioning portion but they start real practice next week. So thank you to the nice doctors office who listened to all of the reasons why my child shouldn't suffer because I couldn't remember to get him a sports physical and slipped him in for an appointment this Saturday morning. Just in time to ensure he doesn't have to miss practice and have his life ruined by his mommy.
Crisis averted.
Erik had his official pre transplant blood work today. They gave us a check list of things they deem important. None of it is of any real interest to me. I made my own list. It is filled with needs that Jack would no doubt deem financially irresponsible. Pre transplant massage for my sanity, pre transplant hair appointment for freshly colored roots and for my sanity, cute hospital clothes for convenience and for my sanity, wine for my sanity, post transplant massage for my sanity. Things like that. I'm going to suggest they include it in their paperwork for all spouses. They are welcome.
